Home Studies
The law requires that a licensed social worker or agency conduct a home study for all individuals and couples that wish to adopt. It is common to feel overwhelmed by this process. The process includes interviews and access to your home, your documents, and other personal information. While this can be a trying process, bear in mind that this is done in the best interest of your future child. We are here to help you, and to help your family grow. Assuming that no glaring issues exist, the home study process should go smoothly. Please talk with your caseworker about any negative emotions or fears regarding the home study process.
For our returning adoptive couples, Forever Bound offers a HOME STUDY EXTENSION at a discounted price. See Estimated Adoption Fees for details.
Forever Bound Adoption is invested in facilitating positive outcomes for our adoptive families. Training for adoptive families is an essential component to prepare for a successful adoptive experience. The agency requires prospective adoptive parents to complete a minimum of 10 hours of pre-adoption training before you can include your family profile in the agency’s adoptive family website and before the agency will approve you for placement.

Adoptive Parent Services
The laws of your state may require a written evaluation of the placement of a child with a family. The evaluation serves to ensure that the placement is within the child’s best interest. If you adopt a child through Forever Bound Adoption, we will make sure your family receives the necessary post-placement care and services. We also require our couples to complete post-adoption training to help them learn about dealing with the most difficult challenges their adopted child may face.
Birth Parents Services
Forever Bound Adoption provides counseling for birth parents following placement. There is no cost for this service.
Adoptee Services
Adoptive families and adopted children may, at different times throughout their lives, benefit from counseling. Forever Bound Adoption will connect you and your family with whatever resources you may need.
