If you choose to place your child up for adoption, there are many things you can do to ensure you have a positive experience throughout the process. Our team of adoption professionals will help you access all of the information and resources you need to make informed decisions.
Regardless of your choice, we want you to receive the education, support, counseling, and resources you need. United for Adoption, a nationwide network of adoptive families, birth parents, and adoption professionals, is an excellent source of lifelong support.
If you choose to place your baby for adoption, Forever Bound Adoption fosters an atmosphere where the rights of birth parents and adoptive parents are respected and supported. Forever Bound Adoption also carefully assesses and educates adoptive families to ensure their readiness to provide a stable, loving home. Additionally, your needs will be carefully evaluated, and support services and referrals will be provided to help meet your needs.
Some adoptive couples prefer to use an adoption attorney rather than local adoption agencies in order to minimize adoption expenses. Unfortunately, these couples lack support and are often less prepared to understand the adoption process, do not understand the importance of openness in adoption, have not been educated about how to make sure your needs are met and how to talk to their child about adoption. Carefully consider any family who is only willing to work with an attorney. At the very least, ask them to provide you with your own attorney and payment for counseling services.

Adopted children grow up knowing they are doubly loved – by their biological and adoptive parents. This love is demonstrated by the sacrifices made by each parent in their lives. Adoptive parents are eager to share with their children your legacy of love, courage, and selflessness in choosing adoption.

I had the good fortune of meeting Steve Sunday in 1993. I was nineteen and faced with an unplanned pregnancy. His knowledge and compassion during this process and afterward were unmatched. I am forever grateful to him for the help he gave to me and my family.
I will always remember what Shannon Lyon did for me and my beautiful baby boy. She saved both of our lives, and she helped me give him a truly amazing family which is what that sweet boy deserved.
